"Pūngao," which translates to "Energy," is a natural tea blend designed to invigorate your body and mind throughout the day.

Blend Description:

We have combined the potent plant properties of green tea sencha, Siberian ginseng, ginkgo biloba, peppermint, licorice root, nettle, rosehip, and alfalfa. Together, these herbs provide a balanced and sustained energy boost, enhance mental clarity, support adrenal health, and nourish the body with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

Surprisingly sweet and mellow, this blend is easy to drink throughout the day, whether hot or cold. Steep for 5+ minutes to extract all the plant nutrients. I make a big pot in the morning when I arrive at work and work my way through it, with the infuser still in it! Get those plant goodness into your rā mahi, working day.

Brewing Instructions:

For Hot Tea:

  • Bring water to a boil, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Add 1 teaspoon per cup and steep for 5+ minutes. For optimal flavour and nutrient extraction, it is recommended to let the blend brew for a longer duration.

  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot.
  • Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add all the dried herbs to the pot.
  • Cover the pot with a lid and let the herbs steep for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Strain the tea into cups or a teapot, removing the herbs.

For Cold Brew:

Prepare the tea blend as instructed above, then follow these steps:

  • Concentrate the tea by brewing it stronger than usual.
  • Strain out the herbs to create a concentrated tea base.
  • Carbonate the concentrated tea using a Soda Stream or similar device.
  • Serve the carbonated tea over ice and enjoy your cold fizzy tea brew!
