Shipping policy

Thank you for shopping with Tī Ani – Wild & Organic Tea.

We do our best to pack and send your order carefully so it arrives in good condition. Please read the information below before placing your order, especially if you are ordering from outside New Zealand.

Order Processing

Orders are processed on business days only, Monday to Friday, excluding New Zealand public holidays.

In-stock items are usually packed and dispatched within 1–2 working days.

During busy periods, sales, product launches, or holiday seasons, dispatch may take a little longer. If there is a significant delay with your order, we will contact you.

New Zealand Shipping

We ship New Zealand orders using tracked courier services.

Estimated delivery timeframes are usually:

Urban New Zealand: 1–3 working days after dispatch
Rural New Zealand: Please allow an additional 1–3 working days

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to courier delays, weather events, rural delivery routes, public holidays, or other circumstances outside our control.

Rural Delivery

Rural delivery may attract an additional surcharge.

If your address is classed as rural and the shipping paid at checkout does not cover the rural delivery cost, we may contact you before dispatch to arrange the additional charge.

Please make sure your delivery address is correct and complete, including any rural delivery number if applicable.

International Shipping

We ship selected products internationally.

Not all Tī Ani products are available for international shipping. Some products may be restricted due to customs, biosecurity, export rules, plant material restrictions, or because they contain native New Zealand botanicals, wild-harvested plant material, flowers, leaves, seeds, or seed-bearing material.

If you place an international order for a product we are unable to send, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a refund before dispatch.

International orders may take longer to process if we need to check whether a product can be safely and legally shipped to the destination country.

Native New Zealand Botanicals and Plant Material

Some Tī Ani products are made with native New Zealand botanicals and/or wild-harvested plant material.

These products may not be available for international shipping, especially where the dried material contains flowers, leaves, seeds, or seed-bearing parts of the plant.

We reserve the right to restrict, cancel, or refund orders for these products if we are not comfortable sending them internationally.

This helps us protect our native plant resources and avoid customs or biosecurity issues.

Customs, Duties and Import Taxes

International customers are responsible for any customs fees, duties, taxes, inspections, clearance charges, or other import costs that may apply in the destination country.

These charges are not included in our product prices or shipping rates unless clearly stated.

Customs authorities in your country may inspect your parcel. Tī Ani is not responsible for delays, additional charges, seizure, or refusal of entry by customs or biosecurity authorities.

Before ordering, international customers should check whether herbal tea, dried botanicals, plant material, or food products can be imported into their country.

Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery timeframes are:

New Zealand: Usually 1–3 working days after dispatch
Australia and international destinations: Usually 14–21 working days after dispatch

These timeframes are estimates only. International delivery may take longer due to customs clearance, biosecurity checks, courier delays, public holidays, or events outside our control.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking details.

Please use the tracking link provided to follow your parcel. Once a parcel has been handed to the courier, delivery timeframes and scanning updates are managed by the courier provider.

Change of Delivery Address

If your order has not yet been shipped, contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to update the delivery address.

Once an order has been shipped, we may not be able to redirect the parcel. Any redirection request will need to be managed through the courier provider where available.

Incorrect Address Details

Please check your delivery address carefully before placing your order.

Tī Ani is not responsible for parcels delayed, returned, or lost due to incorrect or incomplete address details supplied by the customer.

If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address, we may need to charge a new shipping fee to resend it.

Delivery Point and Authority to Leave

Some courier deliveries may be left at the delivery point, such as your front door, mailbox, reception area, or another location at the delivery address.

If you request authority to leave or provide delivery instructions, you accept responsibility for the parcel once it has been delivered according to the courier’s tracking information.

If you require a signature on delivery, please contact us before placing your order or immediately after ordering. Additional charges may apply.

Lost, Delayed or Stolen Parcels

We are not responsible for courier delays once your order has been dispatched, but we will do our best to help where possible.

If your parcel is significantly delayed, please contact the courier provider using your tracking details. You may also contact us and we can help lodge an enquiry where appropriate.

If a parcel is marked as delivered by the courier but you cannot locate it, please check around the delivery point, with household members, neighbours, reception, or your local courier depot.

Tī Ani does not automatically replace or refund parcels that are marked as delivered. However, we will review each situation fairly and in line with our obligations under New Zealand consumer law.

Backorders and Pre-orders

If an item is on backorder or pre-order, the expected dispatch timeframe will be shown on the product page where possible.

If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, we may hold the order and ship everything together unless otherwise arranged.

Non-Refundable Shipping Fees

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless required by law or unless the order has not yet been shipped and we cancel the order before dispatch.

If an item is returned, any return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the product is faulty or we are otherwise required to cover the cost under New Zealand consumer law.
