FAQ
Who is behind Tī Ani?
Tī Ani was founded by Annette Eggers. Annette is the owner and creator behind Tī Ani – Wild & Organic Tea, a New Zealand tea brand inspired by botanicals, native plants, and the simple ritual of making a good cup of tea.
What does Tī Ani mean?
Tī Ani means “Annie’s Tea” in te reo Māori. The name reflects the personal heart behind the brand and its connection to tea, plants, and place.
What is Tī Ani about?
Tī Ani is about creating thoughtful tea blends that feel grounded, enjoyable, and connected to nature. Our range includes herbal teas, botanical blends, and teas inspired by both Aotearoa and tea traditions from around the world.
Is Ti Ani the same as Tī Ani?
People sometimes type Ti Ani when they do not use macrons, but Tī Ani is the correct spelling of our brand name.
What makes Tī Ani teas different?
Tī Ani teas are made with a mix of carefully sourced herbs, flowers, traditional teas, and selected botanicals. Some blends are inspired by native plants from Aotearoa, while others draw on tea traditions from across the world. The focus is on flavour, quality, and creating blends that people genuinely enjoy drinking.
Are your teas organic?
We use high-quality ingredients and prefer organic ingredients where possible. Some blends also include wild-harvested botanicals. Not all products are certified organic, so if you would like more information about a specific tea, please get in touch.
Are your teas caffeine-free?
Many of our herbal and botanical blends are naturally caffeine-free. Any blends containing black tea, green tea, or other caffeinated ingredients will be clearly labelled on the product page.
Do you use native New Zealand plants in your teas?
Some Tī Ani blends include botanicals inspired by or connected to Aotearoa, and we have a growing interest in native plant-based blends. Product descriptions will always tell you what is in each tea.
How should I brew my tea?
Brewing instructions are provided on each product where relevant. As a general guide, most herbal teas do well with water just off the boil and a steep time of around 4 to 6 minutes. You can adjust strength to suit your own taste.
Can I drink Tī Ani teas if I am pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication?
Some herbs may not be suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or alongside certain medications. If you have any concerns, please check with your healthcare professional before use.
Where do you ship to?
We ship across New Zealand and also offer international shipping on selected orders. Shipping availability and rates will be shown at checkout.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are usually packed and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. Delivery time will depend on your location and the shipping service selected at checkout.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes — once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details where available.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to help, but once an order has been packed or sent, changes may not be possible.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please contact us as soon as possible if something arrives damaged or incorrect. Include your order number and a photo if you can, and we will work with you to sort it out.
Do you accept returns on opened products?
Because our teas are food products, we are unable to accept returns on opened items unless the product is faulty or there has been an error with your order.
