Tātarāmoa Rubus cissoides
Due to this plant being the most difficult to harvest, we don't stock large volumes. You are welcome to make a purchase but please note this can take up to 5 weeks (Harvest and Drying). We will let you know an expected ETA.
Our Tātarāmoa has been picked by our team using Tikanga Māori.
Also known as Bush Lawyer. Tātarāmoa translates to “a heap of prickles” and refers to the thousands of backwards pointing spikes that the plants uses to grow upwards against the side of the trees. The spikes often catch onto you while walking through the bush. Once it grabs hold its a matter of holding still and carefully releasing each hook from your clothing. We have become pretty good and spotting this plant before it takes hold, although not all the time!
