A fresh, nutty and pleasantly mild aromatic tea, Japanese genmaicha is a real beauty. This tea is made from Japanese green tea with roasted brown rice - the so-called "genmai". The rice that gave the tea its name evokes popcorn, the puffed rice gives off a lightly roasted aroma.
In the infusion, the roasted rice has a warming, calming effect on the body and is particularly beneficial for the stomach and digestion. It is a perfect tea after eating.
