Horopito, Ramarama - Pepper Tree. My Māori ancestors used Horopito to treat stomach pain and diarrhoea. It was also used for stimulating poor circulation, coughs, colds and asthma.

Horopito is raw & dried, straight from the bush. It is a pepper plant. The first sip is aromatic and warming, then you are hit with a 'very hot' after taste. Use sparingly, 1/4 teaspoon or less per cup.

Researchers today have found Horopito effective against candida.

Use sparingly, 1/4 of a teaspoon per 250mls until you are comfortable with the 'hot' taste.
